10 Business Tasks You Can Use AI For Today

You can use AI today to draft meeting agendas, first customer emails, FAQ outlines, marketing ideas and sales meeting preparation, among other clearly defined jobs. The rule is the same for each: use approved, non-sensitive information and review the result before it reaches a customer, employee or regulator. Here are ten tasks and the checks that keep them useful.

By the end, you should be able to

  • Identify ten practical applications worth assessing
  • Know when useful tasks become risky
  • Trial two suitable jobs and track quality

Ten jobs worth testing

Task What AI can prepare What you must check
1. Weekly meeting agenda Organised agenda from approved updates Priorities, dates, ownership
2. Customer email draft Plain-language first response Prices, promises, customer facts
3. FAQ outline List of likely customer questions Accuracy of the approved answers
4. Marketing ideas Several angles for one genuine offer Claims, originality and audience fit
5. Sales meeting preparation Questions for a fictional prospect scenario Relevance and unsupported assumptions
6. Proposal checklist Required items from an authorised scope Missing exclusions and delivery limits
7. Process instructions First draft of a standard operating procedure What staff actually do and exceptions
8. Training role-play Fictional customer conversation Fairness and realism
9. De-identified feedback themes Group repeated issues Whether categories match the evidence
10. Decision options Compare costs and trade-offs Numbers, sources and real constraints

These are examples, not a recommendation that every business should implement all ten.

A worked example: customer feedback

Fictional example. A cafe has twelve invented feedback comments. Some mention slow lunchtime service; others mention menu confusion. The owner asks AI to group the comments and identify what evidence would distinguish the two problems.

AI suggests that queue speed and menu clarity are separate issues. The owner checks each grouping against the original comments. Staff then record waiting times during a small trial. The AI summary helps frame an investigation. It does not prove why customers were unhappy.

The difference matters. Customer feedback is evidence. An AI explanation of that feedback is an interpretation.
